it is so incredibly cold downstairs

It's the opposite at my house. In winter, if you're cold you go to the basement. If you're hot you go upstairs.

I guess the heater upstairs is better on the 2nd floor for us
Weird -
Sometimes at night it gets uncomfortably hot. I cannot sleep when it's that hot.

I've figured out that most of the time I can evade the uncomfortable heat better if I stay on one end of the bed -
"i take you to hospital, then we go get american whoppers, hm?"
