i watched the live action yesterday

Actually, from my understanding, the cartoon was insulting. It didn't fit the real story of Mulan. The live action was supposed to fit the culture more accurately

There were a few scenes I didn't like because of the cinematography, but it was pretty good nevertheless

the phoenix doesn't even talk :( it just flies past like twice -
One of my friends said that some of the stuff wouldn't realistically happen. Like one scene where her hair would get in her face rather than conveniently getting out of the way or something

mushu was better in the animated version

Yeah, there were a few actions that genuinely weren't realistic. Even for a movie with magic/chi, it was like.. bruh
Tbf the phoenix isn't actually Mushu, it's just her guardian angel of sorts -
that movie sucked

I love Mushu but I feel like a realistic looking Mushu would be a bit disconcerting lol -

Tbf this movie was meant to be more accurate to the legend of Mulan, so we weren't going to get a talking/singing phoenix and some of the things we got from the OG
