It's an RPG that follows the story of the Traveler (you), a character that was separated from their twin and thrown into a different realm. You go through the world with an annoying small floating girl that you accidentally fished out of the water during your travels. You're on a quest to ask the gods of this realm where the heck your missing twin is.
There are story quests you unlock as you level up, as well as side quests given by NPCs. They just added an entirely new area not too long ago, and they plan to keep adding new areas (approximately) every 3 months.
You pull characters you can fight with from a gacha banner. The game gives you enough resources that you can pull at least once a day. Every 10 pulls, you're guaranteed a 4* (good) character.
Multiplayer unlocks at level 16. You can't do quests with friends, but you can run around each other's worlds collecting materials and committing genocide on monsters and mobs. There are dungeons you can do with other people, as well as bosses.
The gameplay is really simple. You only really need to press maybe 4 buttons to fight with, and the game explains everything super well as you go through! It is the MOST "new player" friendly RPG I have ever played. -
I spend a lot of time collecting things off of the ground because I like to pick up shiny objects. 🥰 Some people prefer regularly fighting mobs. But there's a lot to do to keep busy, even if you've completed all story quests up to date
