Paco might become blind in one eye.

blind animals can still have very high quality lives. is it a dog or a cat, or something else?

Paco’s a dog, he just turned three years old.
We can see a hole in his right eye. I’m so scared that he might not be okay. -
That sounds painful. But Bea is right, bind aninals can live out great lives.

He’s such a sweet dog. I don’t ever want to see him unhappy or sad.

and he still has the other eye. dogs are such happy little things that he might not even remember he's blind in one eye after he recovers from whatever's causing it

that's understandable, but there's nothing you can do to just reverse it or make it go away. you have to be there with him, help him recover, and then he'll be back to his usual self
