Backstory on why you've joined Xcom (Also optional, but it adds flavor): -
(I should specify on what the available classes are.)
Ranger: shotgun and sword. focuses on hit and run tactics or being very up close and personal.
Sharpshooter: the sniper. Either focuses on staying back and making accurate shots for high damage or using the revolver and making many shots for smaller damage.
Grenadier: the heavy. Focuses on giving heavy suppressive fire with the minigun and/or AOE damage/terrain destruction via the grenade launcher.
Specialist: The hacker. Specializes in hacking certain enemies and devices on the battlefield, but also seconds as a medic when things get rough.
Psi Operative: a psychic warrior who uses their psi powers to manipulate enemy lines and cause other AOE effects.
Skirmisher: much like the ranger, but has medium range capabilities due to their grappling hook and SMG.
Reaper: much like the sniper, instead being able to focus on being more of a scout and enabling surprise shots due to their advanced stealth tactics.
Templar: Much like the Psi-Operative, the Templar uses its psychic-like abilities to effect others, whether that being teammates or enemies. More of a 'paladin' class, im simple terms. -
