Things were looking bright for the future of XCOM, as the first mission was a resounding success. No casualties on our side and a complete wipe out of enemy forces, it seemed that we were on the right foot. However, this was but a deceiving fog, as 2 of the squad members were killed on our second mission. While Squad Members Shido Kusubana and SprinkledSpice made it out alive, Rex and Normie were sadly lost in the battle, done in by sectoid lasers (and bad RNG).
Rest in peace, comrades. Your efforts will not be in vain. -

You, the typical one. Sadly the Sectoids said 'f--- yall 2" and got critical hits on both of you on their first shots.

Morale may have been down, but it was no reason to surrender already. While doing some research on new sword technology and better under armor vests to improve survivability, command had managed to contact the leaders of the Skirmisher organization and the Reaper organization. Despite their hatred for each other, we were able to get them to put aside their differences and organized a meeting between the two. Sending Sparklespice and new recruit Drekkza to escort the Reaper commander and new recruits Sir Knight and Potion Seller to escort the Skirmisher commander, we were able to get secure the meeting spot after dealing with The Lost. However, though we got the two to agree, our meeting was cut short. Advent forces somehow got word of our plans and sent two of their top assassins to ambush us. Luckily, the team pulled together and we were not only able to fend off one of the assassins left to finish us off, but were able to escort the whole team off the area without a single death. However, Skirmisher leader Mox was captured during our escape, and now his recovery adds on to our list of things to do.
