Thread Topic: I GOT MY FIRST SMARTPHONE TODAY

The last phone I got was this year, and and it was a tacky little flip phone that all you could do was call people. I get nervous calling people, and stutter a lot. So that was a HORRIBLE setup for me. The only people I was comfortable talking to was my cousin (Eggaly) my other cousin (who doesn't go on GTQ) and my crush (as you know him, Jones).
And then all of a sudden, my parents came in my room and said, "We have a surprise for you," and held it out.
When they left, I cried tears of joy. You have no idea what it's like, not living your life without an actual phone, getting made fun of because you have a flip phone. I was just so happy, you don't understand.
So take the time to thank your parents. ^_^ -
They gave it to me just now btw, so I'm still kinda sniffling about it.

Nice! My parents are thinking about getting me a phone earlier (before high school starts), because soon I'll be able to go to stores on my bike, and they want me to have a way of contacting them.

Yeah, I'm in high school, and I STILL don't have a phone.

my first phone was one of my mom's old ones and i used it for a couple months, it didn't have service on it, then i bought one myself. a couple years after, i received one as a gift, and starting using it. after a good while, i accidentally shattered it one day, and then i realized no one bought insurance on it, and then i got a new one as a gift, still using it.

I don't know if when I get a phone it'll be a smartphone or a flip phone. My mom wants me to have a flip phone, but my dad said that I could have a smartphone.
