Thread Topic: Old English
-
Any person may speak in this thread, but only if they speak in Old English. Thou mayst join when thou dost please.
-
How Art Thou?
-
I be fine. How art thou?
-
I be even Finer. Pray tell what Thou desire to speaketh of?
-
So that thou dost not wander away, I shall tell you this: Words that do end in -est, is for when thou dost speak in the second person. In the same way, -eth, is for when thou dost speak in the third person.
The way thou mayst remember, is that the s is for the second person, and the th is for the third person. -
I should speak with the proper Capitalization, so as to speak and write in proper Old English
-
I thank thee and promise to do my best.
-
As do I. I am quite out of practice.
-
None of my Friends allow me to speak this way, so we shall both re-learn.
-
I would confuse my Friends if I did speak in this way unto them. Methinks they only understand the simple Words that I speak.
-
Indeed. I am the same. Methinks they protest too much.
-
Indeed. (That be for thy removing my line from my possession.)
-
Indubitably. (How Dare thee!)
-
I am quite able to dare, whether or not Thou asks me how, but I did do what Thou didst do unto me that I should so do the same.
-
I cannot blame thee for seeking revenge for my misdeeds.
