I do have an essay I should write for my rhetoric class, so Im gonna be slow to reply but I can atleast link a pic of the drawing Ive been doing -

I decided to draw Cloud cause I wanted to see if Ive gotten better. I still have problems with anatomy but I think the hair looks nice. Ive done more work on it since I took the pic. Will show after Im done with the essay

looks nice, you've got a alright grip on the body.
some advice you might want to take is actually to try and avoid what i've referred to as the 'triangle chin'. It's a common thing for people who want to draw in an anime-style do, so don't feel bad about it. But if you look at anime, at almost no point is a anime characters head a circle/square with a triangle at the bottom.
If you look at Akira Toriyama's art, there's actually four lines (can vary) when he draws jaws/chins.
Just take some time to observe how he draws heads and kinda morph that into your own style.
Idk, just some advice I think might help. -
I was using my Cloud figure as a reference, but added more spikes to the hair ala his original concept art. So I think I got the proportions but Ill see about that later. Ill look into the chin thing more, I was trying to make it a little more rounded but it came out kinda wrong. Im not too sure what to do about the chin rn
