would any of you like to help me? I haven't decided if I want to go visual or just "choose your own path" with a couple of pictures thrown in there. Definitely interested in doing this though. I'm not too good at drawing, but I consider myself OK at writing and maybe we as a community can produce something creative and fun.
I'd be willing to make a couple of pages and social media accounts for people to follow the project if it gets anywhere.
*I put this in the Lounge due to a) traffic and b) this is like an assortment of making an app/writing/designing/idea pitching that I'm not sure fits anywhere else. Can definitely move this thread if someone wants me to, though. -

you better hire a professional to do the drawings, just saying -
or someone with more experience in art directing and designing
gives more higher quality to your creation
also you need writers, people who know what they are doing in tech (I f---ing laughed at geek's post) to create an app, a compelling story, people who are definitely more talented than you, luck, correctly marketing your app, etc)
but that all doesn't matter, right? -
oh yeah, also the most important thing in the recipe
money, resources, time, sanity, work ethic -
doesn't have to be perfect for us to have fun with whatever we come up with, lol

Clearly we're all looking to make effort here. No, I'm not going to "hire" any professionals. That ruins the fun of doing this on my own, or figuring this out with other people. So what if it's not top notch quality and we do the art and story boarding? People might like what we do. People might not. I'm not looking for profit here. I'm looking for fun. And that's what I will get attempting this project.

and you explicitly said you don't know how to properly draw, so you can write
you could just get someone who is really good that you know to do l so nobody would be turned off from your game
but okay, yeah, that all doesn't matter
