Reading out loud in history class today about a testimony of a guy from the Boston Tea Party thing made me swear. Like I had to actually read what he said, and he swore, so that means I swore.
And if y'all have known me for 2 years (or nearly 3), you know that I don't swear.
Never have I been more uncomfortable xD
And it was a minor d*mn.

Of course, every other word I hear at college is an f here and a s from the professor themselves. Idk. It's weird how normalized that is, and how conservative I am. Random

I've been fairly sheltered growing up, and so never really knew any words until I was like 14. So by then I've like already got my own speech set, and adding a curse word into the mix doesn't feel natural?
And idk, it just feels like language that actually is dirty.
Plus I've always been into English and writing and that's just not a part of what I would consider a rich vocab lol.
And everyone does it. I'm so old fashioned I want to show people it really is possible to control your language and not follow the crowd -

I get it. I didn't used to cuss, then I slowly started adding them.I don't say them often, I usually use other words instead but sometimes, yelling f---! is more satisfying than yelling POPPYCOCK! when I stub my toe.
