why don't we tell each other directly instead of hiding in our threads :/
like it's just the internet, and even then, you're hiding behind a screen so -
I think it has something to do with feeling like you're intruding somewhere you're not welcome
if I were fighting with someone, I wouldn't want to go into their house until it was resolved, and they probably wouldn't want to come into mine
like you're at a disadvantage because they're at home and you're in unfamiliar territory
and if things go south, they have the right to be there, and you don't
I'm not sure how that translates online though -
*that's only about going into their personal thread to talk to them, though
as for why you wouldn't make a thread dedicated to talking it out or just let it go altogether, I'm not sure at all -
I agree with what you're saying about the home and thread analogy, but I was also thinking about the whole making another thread just to resolve it so it's not bothering either person.
