i also watched manchester by the sea earlier
that s--- had me in tears
and the acting was never forced
and lots of the scenes had a simplistic aesthetic that made it feel closer to real life than expected
i would have made the revealing of lee's past a bit more mysterious but other than that he was characterized fairly well and casey affleck portrayed him in the tragic manner he should have -
I heard that film was depressive as hell
