Celeste stepped forward again and hit headfirst into a sign. She reached out of steady herself and stepped back, still dizzy. "I know," she sighed. "And I really don't care." Her voice got louder, "JUST LEAVE HIM THE HELL ALONE!!!"
(that's where we left off i think... ;)) -
While Matt was preoccupied, Sam slipped away. She had to know what was going on, her curiousity was burning the the hottest fires of Hell.
-
(Yeah, it is.)
The woman smirked, and glanced down at the bleeding 19 year old. 'I can't believe you care about this scum of the Earth.' she growled, an evil look in her eyes. Now, she had them both. -
Celeste bit her lip hard enough to draw a single drop of blood. She should've crept up behind her, grabbed the pipe, and knocked her out. She grimaced as the salty warm liquid came in contact with her tongue. She felt tears streaming down her cheeks. "No..." she whispered. "No." She was yelling now. "That's where you're wrong! He has a heart... He always had one. Honestly, he's the nicest person I know. His heart must be golden. But you," she let out a sigh of disgust, "You, my friend... You've never had a heart... Let alone one as pure as his. Go rot in Hell. You might as well get a head start, because that's where you're headed anyway." With that, Celeste calmly walked over to the woman and patted her shoulder. "And one other thing, dear..." She quickly jabbed the woman between her shoulder blades, the side of her kneck, and finished her off by pinning her to the ground with her foot. "I may be blind, but I'm not stupid. By making all this noise, you've only made it easier for me. I've learned your motion patterns, and voice signals. In just ten seconds, I could know more about you than you do."
-
Sam, following the voices, found her way to everyone else.
-
The woman glared into Celeste's eyes. Sethos could be heard, coughing up blood from where he had been injured.
-
Silently, Sam crept over to Sethos. "Damn, you got beat up bad."
-
'Yeah.' Sethos chuckled, before hacking up more blood. So much blood.
-
Celeste felt the woman's glare cutting into her eyes. She kicked the woman's face until she heard a sickening crack. She got up, listening for Sethos's coughing. She finally located him. She ran over to his side and reached out, touching his forehead. She withdrew her hand, covered in warm sticky blood. "No, no, no... Don't leave yet, Sethos. Stay with me..." She was half talking to herself. She reached into her pocket and took out a cell phone she'd been carrying around for years. It had special buttons with brail numbers and letters. She dialed 911 and spoke to the operator. She ran her hand down Sethos's forehead to his arm, and on to his hand. She held his hand in her free one, squeezing gently. "It's going to be okay... Everything's going to be alright..." She wasn't sure if she was talking to Sethos or herself.
