So I wrote an essay about GTQ for a college thing I'm applying to this summer.
The prompt was about how leadership has been demonstrated in my life and how it's impacted my own perception of leadership. I wrote about how when I was younger I looked up to everyone on here because we were there for each other when we needed each other and everyone here at that time influenced me and because of GTQ I am who I am today. And I finally felt like I belonged somewhere.
But there came a time in my life when I realized I couldn't constantly hide on this website so I had to take the skills and learning experiences I received from GTQ and implemented it into real life.
I think writing about GTQ was kinda risky especially since it's an uber competive program, but I felt like the eternity I've spent here needed to be recognized somewhere in my application.
Wow. I joined GTQ when I was in the sixth because I was lonely and anti-social and anxiety ridden and scared of the real world but nearly five years later I'm writing about it in college essays. That's so neat. -
Maybe my sad addiction and reliance on internet strangers will set me apart from other applicants 😂
