Why?
-
because you shouldn't be an a--hole and misgender them? why is that such a radical concept?
-
I forgot their "pronouns"
Forgetting doesn't make me an a--hole, I just don't have time to remember absurd crap. -
Forcing someone to call them that just really makes you a gigantic prick.
-
it isn't absurd crap. you remembered perfectly fine plenty of other times when you were referring to them. i find it kind of strange how you'd forget now, but ok.
-
no, it doesn't make you a prick. how hard is it to type out one word that could make one person feel a hell of a lot better? they are not comfortable with she/her pronouns. you knew this. and if you "forgot", i'm telling you now so you can remember from now on. road uses they/them pronouns. you're making yourself seem like a much bigger a--hole by claiming you forgot, and now saying that they're selfish by wanting specific pronouns. it looks like you're more of the prick here
-
Not really. I use they for everyone because I am too lazy to be a "scholar" in grammar.
-
okay, and you can continue to use they for road
and not she
there you go
problem solved -
They means people in general. The Coldest Sun is a specific person. So when referring to them, I am guessing I should use something specific (you know, real pronouns that make sense in a sentence)
-
they pronouns are perfectly sensible
now, if you say you're so lazy that you use they for everyone, then.. why are you arguing with me on this? you just said you'll use they pronouns for road because you're lazy
and that's good
whatever helps you use the right pronouns man
that's cool
so like. yeah. there's no reason for you to argue
and i'mma go work on my book report
catch u later -
I agree with Madison? Think about it this way. Say you were trying to describe someone to a friend. You just witnessed this person. You don't know what their gender is. You use gender neutral all of the time without thinking about it. It's not any different here. It's not difficult. Typing one word can make someone feel so much better about themselves. Put yourself in their shoes.
-
No, you reminded me on not raping language. So "she" sounds correct.
-
*gender neutral language
It's also grammatically correct to use they/them for one person. It's not only plural.
Okay, I'm done ranting. ye -
i!!!! don't!!! care!!!!! if!!!! she!!!!!! sounds!!!!! correct!!!!!!! to!!!!!!!!! you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those!!!!!!! are!!!!!!!!! not!!!!!!!! their!!!!!!!!! pronouns!!!!!!!!!
and you should not!!!!!!!!! choose!!!! the pronouns!!!! you use for them!!!!!!!!!
if!!!!!! they!!! say!!!!!!! they!!!!! want!!!!!! specific!!!!!!!!! pronouns!!!!!!! then!!!!!!!! use!!!!!!!!! them!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh my GOD!!!! how hard is it to understand??? -
Just because "she" sounds correct doesn't mean it is correct.
