Oh you have to be a Novice. It doesn't take long for you to hit that rank. When you are a Novice, click on your name, how you get to your profile and all. There will be an option to upload a photo by your username.

OR, go an easy way to get a pic.
Go to your profile and where it says "Link quiz" click it and enter the info below.
Title: Random quiz of Randomness
Password: Password
It will temporarily make you a novice. -
