My family doesn't get to spend a lot of time together anymore. Bro's moved out, mom's asleep all day, Derrick has two jobs, Fruit's working full time and going to school, and I'm working full time. It's hard to find a time even two of us are available at the same time. When we get to cook together, we play. It's together time. We play music, make stupid jokes, f--- up the food, take our time and have fun. I don't know why they have to be so serious all the time. Derrick was having a fun time f---ing that chicken's s--- up with the mallet. We were laughing. We were enjoying ourselves. Why did there have to be that much shouting and scolding? We were gonna get done around the right time anyway, so why couldn't you just let us have our fun? It's been a while since we've been able to.

Victor also used to say our side of the family was classless for going outside without shoes on. He can't walk out the front door without shoes, jeans, and hand sanitizer, so I guess I understand why it's weird to him that we just like the feel of the grass and the cement under our feet, but not understanding it doesn't mean he had to be insulting. He also used to talk down on Bro saying "real men don't wear shorts". I think that was just his insecurity talking, though. He knows Bro could could kick his ass any day.
