Leeza began to cough and splutter. Blood dripped from her mouth. Her vision became clear.
'MiMi? Daddy? Carin?' she rasped, faintly. -
"Mew!" Petunia nuzzled her.
"Aww." Mimi smiled. -
'Hey, there.' Leeza smiled weakly at the kitten. 'Now, now. It's okay. *cough* I'm fine.'

"Let's get inside." -
Marshall pulled the bleeding girl to her feet, and she limped back into the house.
