I've been feeling a little down with my art too. But yours isn't all that bad, a hell of a lot better than what I did in sixth grade.

Akise is pale, has red eyes, and has white hair. Forrest is somewhat tan, has greeen eyes, and has golden brown hair, although you can't tell. Although they are around the same age, I don't see it.
Yours is really cute. The face on that particular one is okay, but the rest is s---. -
