When you say suspended does that mean you get banned from a lesson?

Too many people are expelled and Suspended because of fighting.
Fighting people, cops, and teachers. -
You get banned from school for a day.
I think that's why most people try to get suspended. -

First you get a tutor detention (15 min)
Then subject detention (15 min and I was meant to get one in French)
