This is what I have so far
and it's s---
Depression is impossible
Real depression swirls around you
It traps you in the dark arms
Suffocates you as it reaches down your throat to tear out your heart
To tear out your feelings
Numbness and pain comes with the feeling of being lost in the woods
Like Hansel and Gretel
No matter how many trails of breadcrumbs you leave
Some sort of evil bird comes to eat them
And you're lost
It's like drowning deep into an ocean with a current too strong to swim against
And you try not to cry
Not only because you're afraid to show weakness in front of people
But because that'll add more water to the ocean
And you'll drown yourself even more
Your lungs begin to burn with the poison in your lungs
And you blindly grasp for things drowning with you
A gun
A razor
A bottle of pills
We try to help ourselves with things we can hardly find
Only to find out that help is in our reach
Only if we'd find the courage to open our eyes in the dark water
Depression is like
Having your heart and mind carelessly thrown and passed around by millions of people
Each branding harsh words on your mind
Each stabbing their hate into your heart
The ones with your mind
They tear out every good thought
Every happy memory
Until only self-hate lies there
And they scar your heart so badly
You can't love
You can't feel
You're just numb
i don't even know where I was going with this -
I REFUE! I REFUSE!
I REFUSE TO CLOSE MY EYES
