I know, it amazes me. I just can't help thinking that they're really sheltered, and their parents didn't want them to see or know anything else. They need to go to other countries and experience the different cultures. Maybe then they'll be a little bit more open minded.
And it's not like I'm asking them to believe in these different religions, I'm just asking them to understand them. -
That would probably be a good idea. Hopefully they could catch some foreign illnesses their bodies haven't yet had a chance to develop an immunity to and they could die.
-
I'm going against you and coming in even though I'm not on the list
-
That's actually precisely what you're not supposed to do.
-
then I'll go with you and leave
-
We should just herd them all on planes and fly them to different countries. Noooo, we need them alive and not dying, so they can understand everything.
-
Fine. ewe Perhaps we won't kill them. I'm just so sick of hearing it.
-
Yeah, me too. And while we're on the subject of this: I really hate that "In God we trust" is on our money and that "One nation under God" is in our Pledge of Allegiance thing.
-
that was an anti-communist thing
I don't say the pledge.
Then again, I'm a communist. -
Yeah, I knew it was an anti-communism thing, but I think it's about time they took those things out.
I can only say the pledge in Spanish, because I had Spanish in the morning, and the teacher made us say it in Spanish. So I guess it's a little better than saying it in English. -
The country was founded on Christianity, however, we're supposed to have the right to religious freedom. I can see that by putting those words in symbols of our nation, we're establishing Christianity as the religion of the American people, making it uncomfortable for Americans with other views. More concerning, in my mind, however, is the fact that in spite of the religious freedom we're supposed to have, gay marriage is illegal because it might offend the Christian religion. We're catering to Christians in every way we can and not respecting other religions at all.
-
wow I sound f---ing stupid I'm sorry brothers
-
It's like we're just babying Christianity. But seriously though, now that I think about it, Christianity is like a baby. It complains about something, so we give it what it wants. And I guess it kinda started with Adam and Lilith (that is, if Christians actually believe in her). Adam wanted to always be on top when he and Lilith were doing it, and she refused him, so Adam complained to God, and then God made Eve.
-
wait is that a thing
-
What? Lilith? I don't think she's in the Bible, but in one of the books that I have, it has the myth on her. I could type it in if you want.
