Tell your cousin to take him by surprise. I know how to fight superbly, I've never lost unless you count against my much older brothers when I was little. Get you cousin some mace even and if your ex doesn't know what your cousin looks like he can walk right up to him and blast him in the face with it then just go to town on his ass punching him right in the head repeatedly.
