yeah? how did you solve that problem??
-
I know thats the point safety in numbers are what gangs are about there seriously will be those kinds of people left over and there is no point in taking chances getting close to them with a bat when you could just shoot them.
-
The solution to that problem is funny simple and a secret sorry.
-
oh cmon on now. jip.
well also with a large group you could better fortify, AND take an offensive action if the need arose -
If its safe to go offensive you could just do it slower with less people and like I said I'd only have a small amount of people when I travel to get some people before I leave and when I get back I have like 10 people at my fort.
-
i would probably have very few in all honesty. certainly less then ten. in that situation you can't trust people. i would probably kill and most people. i sure as hell wouldn't trust my family and beyond that i have even less trust. so i do think, there deffinate strength in numbers. its how the human race survived to be the movie watching hamburger eating race we are today, but also people would have to play cards DAMN good to join my refuge
-
You can't trust your family? I'd have only family and very close friends with me who I can trust, the only other people I would let join me would be like some little kid that needed my help cause you know he's not gonna stab you in the back and he isn't gonna eat to much food and if anything when we get attacked he gets eaten instead of me not that I'd allow that to happen if it could be prevented.
-
idk i'm completely torn between the fact of safety in numbers, and the fact that people are dangerous.
so what kind of renforcements will you make? -
You mean like how would I barricade myself in? I have certain ways I'd like to do it mostly with furniture cause I mean really how the hell are you gonna get tons of wood and nails and s--- I'm going to busy getting more guns and food to do that by which point my people will have already done the securing of the building so to take all that down to put up boards after I risk my life going to a Lowes is just stupid. How would you do it at a walmart pull down the chain link fence thing pile shopping charts on top of shopping carts with soda machines and a couple stolen cars up against the doors?
-
first i would board up the doors with bed frames, then put vending machines behind them. i would pretty much make a wall of shelves in front of the second layer doors. in the garage i would put a reinforced car with supplys, and i would board that place off from the inside. and put a vending machine ready to knock over in front of the door. and park a car infront of the loading doors to the outside and leave them easily moved from the inside. warhouse after taking everything i needed i would seal of with shelves and odd sand ends of furniture. upper floor i would just break the fire escape ladders and pull them up so no one can use them from the ground unless we lower em
-
i meant roof not upper floor
-
I feel by the point you'd get that much done you'd be having them attacking you already, at a walmart like you said lots of people go there even if its just to raid and not to stay. I like the bed frames thing I've always planned to take tables and put them on their sides covering doors and windows like a wall then putting book shelves and fridges and crap up against them.
-
but its rushed. in raides people take guns, jewelry, and toys SOME people take food. Nobody ever thinks of furniture. and i know me and gabriel could have the garage, and the first glass doors done and the warehouse door bolted, in an hour. in three hours we could have it all sealed up.
-
I feel 3 hours is to long as more zombies show up you have to deal with them and that 3 hours becomes a bit longer and the people I mentioned I didn't mean they'd steal your furniture I meant what are you gonna do when they show up while you're still barricading and they want your s--- are you gonna let them take some what if they want to say or they want to send you packing. The thing I like about apartments is there is alot of space there too but its all up in the air so you can just secure the first floor and be done with it.
-
meh. four entrences. two have decent locks as is you just gott a lock em. the other two have EVERYTHING you need to secure with a "once over" in ten minutes. i wouldn't be even a little worried about barricades. i would worry about what happens if someone gets throuh the barricades on your first floor and the only place you can go is up. and what if someone just bypasses your first floor and jumps in your second floor window?
