about weapons i would go with longrange to deal with zombies. no point in taking chances with the blood. but humas i take an aluminum bat. save ammo -
An apartment building is much better you can destroy the stairs and have all the stuff in all the apartments or barricade the first floor windows and doors cause there is so much furniture, I'd have gone and already raided your walmart for a decent amount of the canned food while my other people secured an apartment. I would smash a truck straight through the walmart doors and go right up to the shelves with the bed of the truck and the haul balls back.

I like bats they say they dent up but I have one that isn't a piece of s--- and it still is light. I like range too but you need to conserve ammo and keep quiet. There isn't going to be a crap ton of blood when you use a bat on a zombie unless your over doing the job at which point the zombie will be on the ground. I'd use a gun on a human before a zombie, humans are more desperat and if they're still alive they might have a gun too.

There are tons of places to escape this apartment building from and if there were zombies surrounding all of them then there wouldn't be that many in certain spots so it wouldn't be to difficult to break back out.

mm humans are fairly constutionless compared to zombies. a person has so many options.
wind mansion, mandibular area, cervical plexus, cardio plexus,
zombie have very few options.

Yes but humans will try anything try to kill you right off the bat or try to trick you anything where as a zombie is incredibly predictable. The people left alive by a certain point will be the people you can't trust and would be willing to kill you in a second.

idk bout your apartment building. so many people who got zombified and whent home, still in the building with you. an apartment is a contained living space to. if you have fight in there, you LIKELY to spray blood. and hard to run

No I thought of that problem when I picked the place so thats not anything I'm gonna have to deal with. xD

yeah but also those people left alive aren't fighting to much because they would have been outmatched at some point if they had. the trick is to not start s--- with humans, and kill any that try without question. thats were a good sized party would come in handy
