Good choice you could pick them off with much more range with the rifle, of course you wouldn't need to shoot the full distance possible with the rifle really but its just a better weapon. Bullets weigh less and take up less space too.

i think all in all i wouldn't choose a gun at all. a blunt object doesn't need reloading but, you need shear force to work it. (late post i appologize)

chain mail is little chains all interlocking to make a flexible piece of armor you wear. It is to heavy and will get you killed. You should wear in this ONE situation leather tighter fitting clothes or a regular jacket with black duct tape around it. Swimmer you could easily wear yourself out with only a blunt weapon a gun is needed and a blunt weapon is also carried to be used when a gun is unnecessary.
