Dasha thinks homosexuals are "weird, have no place." And when asked upon marriage of them she says "My Gosh, no! That'd cause chaos!"
Yet she hangs out with a pansexual all day, and I hug her and I tell her all these nice endearing things. :I
Somehow that bothers me. Maybe it's because Russian and Mexican beliefs are two totally different things cuz you know

Anyways I don't know, I guess it just bothers me a bit. When she says "How can you like someone of your own sex?"

Well, sometimes straight people have a hard time understanding homosexuality, especially if they were raised to believe against it. The fact that she hangs out with someone who's pansexual means that she's at least trying a little to understand more. Maybe she acts that way because she wants you to explain it to her.

Doubt it. She's stubborn, I hate to say. Whatever she thinks is what she believes is right. I've tried to explain how it works and she says 'But how is that possible? It's just wrong!'
She was raised differently, of course. Being who I am and where I'm from, I've been taught to be tolerant and mind my own business. God knows what they taught her. -

Homophobic people usually raise kids to believe that homosexuality is wrong because two men or two women can't naturally have a kid together. Maybe if you took a different approach towards teaching her how to be accepting it'd work.

I'll have to try that then. But I still don't think she'll see how good it is to be accepting.

Maybe you could tell her about how horrible it feels when people say that what comes naturally to you is wrong.

What I don't understand is when people argue that homosexuality is unnatural.
Who says its unnatural? Homosexuality is proven in over 450 species of animals. Does that sound unnatural?
And just because something is unnatural doesn't mean it's BAD. I mean, eyeglasses are unnatural, red hair is unnatural, sunscreen is unnatural.
