"I'm sorry, Braken," she apologized, her voice sweet and kind. "I had to. Yuri.." she looked down at her son, and at the blood that was beginning to cake in his long hair. "He would have done terrible things to you."
-
"So, is he gonna die?" Braken asked. He was really just done with this family.
-
"No, he won't die. The glass managed to do some damage but he's not going to hemorrhage.." she explained softly. "Braken, look I'm sorry.. But Yuri seems to have a slight liking for you.. I fear that if you don't stay I'll have to kill him next time."
-
"If I don't stay, there won't be a next time.." Braken said.
-
"There will. He's so.. out of it," she insisted, trying to convince Braken to stay. "Braken, plase. Do it for us. Do it for Aiki."
-
"Fine. I'll stay. But if he hurts me, I'm leaving." Braken said. He really didn't want to stay. But if him staying meant that nobody else got hurt, he thought he might as well do it.
-
**please
"And I promise that we will let you leave if he does that again," she nodded quickly. -
Braken got an annoyed expression on his face, and turned. "It's not even worth living here anymore. Aiki was my only friend." he muttered, small tears gathering in his eyes.
Okay, death and the song I'm listening to do not mix well. I'm seriously getting emotional right now. -
"Oh, dear," she said sympathetically, reaching over to hug him warmly. "Aiki was such a sweet girl.. She had done nothing wrong. I am so sorry, dear."
-
Braken pushed her away gently. "Don't touch me.." He said quietly, his voice rough with tears. "You should get Yuri's wound treated if you don't want him to bleed to death.."
-
She seemed hurt at first, but she got over it. Instead of trying to talk to him some more, she picked up her son and rushed him over to the people who would be able to heal him.
-
Braken didn't even have the energy to get to his room. He collapsed against the wall and started crying. He tried to keep as silent as possible but he was sure at least a few people heard his sobs.
-
Yuri's mother heard his crying, and she felt very sorry for him. She wished that she could help him out and make things better, but she knew Aiki was probably the only person Braken could have trusted.
Ooh, could we have another time skip? :3 -
Braken felt horrible. Aiki was honestly the only friend he had ever had and she was forever gone now. It was something that made him feel like his life was crumbling before his eyes.
Yes, time skip is good.
Goddammit, I have tears in my eyes. Listening to this song and rping about this. I swear, this will be my undoing. -
Once she got Yuri to a safe place with others, his mother took a seat and tried to tell herself that these things weren't real, but the sad truth was that they were.
Many weeks later, they were finally getting signs of life from Yuri. And once he could speak, he had asked for Braken to see him.
Bby. ;A; *hugs you so hard*
