I used to until 2009, so I waited pretty long to switch formats. And it kind of sucks not buying CDs, especially recently. Corey Taylor published a short story in the booklet of The House of Gold and Bones Part I, that is basically a companion piece to the album, and I would love to read it. Also Rage Against the Machine just put out a 2oth anniversary box set featuring video of their first live performance. Unfortunately you miss out on those things when you have iTunes. Also I can't buy Tool albums.

I do both. There's a record store I love to go to and get shiz. Though if I can't find it there I download.

I still listen to whole albums though. I just figured I could get more music just by downloading from the computer because most stores have really cruddy CD selection now. I was at Walmart the other day and it was a joke. Only three Metallica albums and some Megadeth greatest hits CD. No Slayer, no Slipknot, no Disturbed, and don't even bother asking about bands like Suicide Silence or Parkway Drive. It's pretty much the same at Target. FYE still has good selection, but the closest one to me is about a half hour away and I don't have a car. So really downloading makes more sense.

I like CDs mainly because I can play them in the car. So I guess I can still find use in them.
But I mainly use my iphone for music. A lot of music I like is from foreign countries and there's rarely anything like that for sale where I live, so I just download. Plus, like Emma said, if there's only a few songs I like from an artist, it makes more sense to itunes it. -

Sometimes I buy it from iTunes- WHOLE album if I love the certain singer, but seperate songs if I don't really like the singer but like the song.
