It's really important for me.How about you?
-
Nah, I listen to music for the actual music, not the message.
-
Sometimes. Depends.
-
Kind of important, but it is more important that the actual music is good.
-
Yeah. But if it's in a foreign language,I'd just listen to the music.
-
Some are just awesome. Sad songs i usually pay attention to the lyrics. Like gangnam style, awesome song, don't understand it at all.
-
Most of the time.
-
pretty much always.
-
It depends. I adore some songs that have amazing lyrics, but I also adore the musical piece as well. Plus I listen to a lot of foreign music so in a way I love when an artist can express meaning and emotion without words as well.
-
Yes. Lyrics is very important to me.

In slower songs, I like there to be a message, or for it to be sweet or whatever.
When upbeat songs, it could say "I like FOOOOOOOOOOD! PIZZA IS YUMMYYYYY!!!! AND A PICKLE ON THE SIDDEEEE!!!" as long it has a good beat.
LOL don't you just love my new song?

The heart of music lies in the composition. The voice is an instrument, but lyrics are nothing more than embellishing poetry. Good composers can transcend lyrics and communicate through aural aesthetics alone.
-
Depends. If it has 50 thousand swear words throughout the song or it gives a very dirty message, I won't listen to it.
If its in a foreign language, well I'm screwed there. XD
