I love music!!!! I helps me have a connection to God. I think I have a lot of favorite artists... but one of my favs is Jamie Grace. And my fav song is probably The Stand.

I think some Christian music is annoying, when it tries to sound like pop music or something. I'd seriously rather listen to old hymns than some of the newer stuff, but some is pretty good.
I like bands like Flyleaf and Skillet that incorporate the message in their music best. -
Most Christian bands sound like they are just using Jesus to make money. I personally am not a Christian, so I tend to avoid music that preaches that particular message. I do find that some more secular bands that follow Christianity are generally pretty honest and have a good message that doesn't devolve into stereotypical praise. I personally think As I Lay Dying's message is a good one because they preach tolerance and compassion. I also enjoy Creed because their best songs address spiritual and personal anguish, "One Last Breath" and "My Own Prison" in particular. "What If" even challenges traditional religious authority and rejects the Christian ideal of turning the other cheek. One of the lines is "what if I avenge, what if eye for an eye?" I personally like that message, that you can use your anger and hate for something constructive.
