I like old pop. Nowadays there is hardly a song with meaning to it. Pop is parties and love songs basically. Lady Gaga has songs that mean something.
Fall Out Boy's songs had a deeper meaning to them. One of them was about a hitman. And they were pop. Okay, a sub-genre but you get what I mean. -
Pop's okay, it just depends on the songs for me, but I usually stick to heavy metal and some soft songs but my all time favorite type of music is Dubstep.

I like Pop. But not ALL of it. Honestly, rock and country are more my thing.
Some pop songs are stupid, and I'll admit that, and some rock songs are stupid, and some country songs are stupid. There is at least one stupid or meaningless song in any genre. And that doesn't make anyone stupid.
I HATE heavy metal! But I'm not yelling at others who DO like it. Or calling them stupid. My cousin listens to Heavy Metal and he's gonna graduate college with a doctor's degree!! -

@dw1996 I just don't like that they're basically just yelling into the microphone. But that's not the point.
