I've been searching for one, and found one for 55 dollars, but the shipping is way too high...

If you can, check your local music store and see if you can rent one. A good learning book is Standard of Excellence Book 1 for Flutes, but I didn't find the instructions on how to get it to make noise useful at all.
As far as I know, there isn't s beginner flute. Just find a flute. -
Definitely rent one. That's how I started out. There's no beginner flute; Selena's right. The best is to just start with beginner level songs and get situated with how to play. After that, everything should get progressively easier. Advance through skill levels at your own pace. Good luck! I'm sure you'll love the flute!
