~Girl on Fire - Alicia Keys~
[not including a HTTYD music video because there's only one available and it's kind of crappy editing and it was made over six years ago so the only clips are from the first movie and Riders of Berk, ew]
This song comes on the radio every now and then, and I'd like to think that it describes me :)
It's a fantastic song to work out to, especially if you're a girl. -
~Fight Song - Rachel Platten~
{HTTYD music video}
This song comes on the radio periodically, and I used to think nothing of it, but this year I've changed so much that I really still have a lot of fight left in me. This song helps me get back on my feet when I've had a bad day or made some bad choices that have tossed my life around. It's never too late to leave an impact on anyone. -
~High Hopes - Panic! At The Disco~
{HTTYD music video}
I just heard this song a few days ago on the radio, so I'm not sure if it's a temporary obsession or if I'll end up loving it in the long term, but we'll see. I can definitely relate to it at this point in my life, though. -
~One Less Day (Dying Young) - Rob Thomas~
{there's actually no HTTYD music video for this song...}
This reminds me of I Lived -- that same spirit of wanting to do everything and try every experience in life. Not to mention the hella beat this song has =) -
~A Million Dreams - Benj Pasek & Justin Paul~
{HTTYD music video}
I haven't actually seen The Greatest Showman and don't particularly care to, but this song keeps playing on the radio and it's grown on me quite a bit. I can definitely relate to the whole concept of fighting for the crazy dreams you have even though everyone else thinks you're completely stupid (and you probably are). But it's better to dream than to not, and so I'm just going to keep fantasizing about possibilities for a better world and see what happens. -
~Broken - Lovelytheband~
Again, another song that I wouldn't care about if it didn't play all the time on the radio. I'm not really into romantic music, but this isn't the cliche stuff I normally cringe at. This is real, and this is what true love really is. Loving someone even though they're broken and alone. Because really, we're all broken, and it's our goal come together and fix each other. -
~Some Nights - Fun~
{HTTYD music video}
This song's unique style intrigues me, and I'd like to listen to it some more. I feel like it describes me pretty well: wondering what the heck I'm doing and whether I'm wasting my time or not. -
~Counting Stars - OneRepublic~
{HTTYD music video}
Watch. The. Music. Video.
Even if you do nothing else, just watch it. Please. Watch the whole thing. It's truly mindblowing and will be worth your time.
That is all I have to say. -
~Whatever It Takes - Imagine Dragons~
{HTTYD music video}
I didn't think much of this song at first, but it's been getting into my blood more lately. I always need that reminder to do "whatever it takes" to be who I need to be. -
~Just Like a Pill - P!nk~
I...have no idea why I like this song, but I just do. I'll get over it soon, I'm sure. -
~Photograph - Ed Sheeran~
{HTTYD music video}
This song is just beautiful. Like I mentioned before, I'm not at all a romantic, but this is just a good piece of music here. Not too fluffy or mushy, just good ol' relationship-building stuff. Me likey :) -
~Best Day of My Life - American Authors~
{HTTYD music video}
I'm sorry, but it's pretty dang hard not to like this song. Enough said. -
~Live Like a Warrior - Matusyahu~
{HTTYD music video}
I just heard this song for the first time earlier today, so it hasn't much time to sink in, but I instantly fell in love with it.
"Live like you wanna let yesterday burn, and throw it in a fire."
