  varies for me.
  
  I used to be able to, then I tried to sing a high note, lost my voice, got it back

  Hmm, I used to sing high notes like..E.X Rachel(Glee) not exactly but as high as that then about 3 weeks ago,I got a bad cold now I totally suck! And the bad thing is that i'm playing a high singing part in our school musical.I'm screwed :¢

  tongue, try opening your mouth more, breathing with your diaphram, and standing tall and straight. also, push the air out faster to create the best sound.

  Yeah. And WTF ALANA? You can't breath with your diaphram. (I'm pretty sure that's around your stomach)

  Ozzy, your diaphragm is this small layer of tissue located close to the bottom of your chest
  
  you SING with your vocal chords and your diaphragm helps.
