Thread Topic: I don't like strictly Christian music

  I love bands that play secular music who are Christians, and you can find uplifting messages in their music without it feeling forced on you.
  
  Flyleaf, Escape the Fate, and Evanescence have kind of been that way for me. And I've heard Paramore is kinda like that too.

  Honestly even those bands are too Christy for me. Evanescence and Paramore not really, but other bands too. Especially the metalcore bands that are really hamfisted about it- Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, and even Killswitch Engage. As I Lay Dying is okay though- they don't talk about having faith so much as they do about the human condition, which is probably influenced by their religion, but I don't hear any prospheltising in it.
