The show went live from MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Flatts was honored with the†best-selling country group of the decade†award for their last ten year contribution towards the country music. However their journey towards happiness does not end here as their newly released single “Why Wait†also gained the number spot on the Billboard Country Singles & USA Today/Country Aircheck charts for the week of December 18, 2010 and according to iTunes it has also been the most popular song from a CD so far. This is the Rascal’s 12th hit and first single from their first album “Nothing Like This†after they signed up with Big Machine Records.
“Nothing Like This†is the seventh studio album by Flatts that features songs “Playâ€, “They tryâ€, “Red Camaroâ€, “Easy†- a duet with the British pop beauty Natasha Bedingfield and the title track “I Won’t Let Goâ€. It’s also the 6th consecutive album from Rascal Flatts that hit the number spot on the Billboard Country Albums charts. Rascal Flatts has also announced their 2010-2011dates of their second leg tour in support of their latest album that starts on January 14, 2011 from Sioux Falls, SD and will run through March 12, 2011 when they will play at the Oklahoma City Arena, Oklahoma City, OK. Flatts will come to their second home, Western New York, where they will perform at the Blue Cross Arena at the Community War Memorial, 1 War Memorial Square, Rochester on February 24, 2011; the trio will be joined by the other two American country music artists, Luke Bryan and Chris Young.
The rock star band of the past 10 years is a three member squad and has always been in news due to their charitable acts and now they moved one step ahead. The band has joined hands with the Best Buy Co., Inc and GRAMMY Foundation to support musical education among teens in high schools throughout the US. Best Buy aims to donate $825,000 to the foundation for the noble cause by selling Best Buy products through January 1, 2011. The Best Buy’s products’ listing to support the cause features the Rascal Flatts latest album “Nothing Like This" that will be sold at $9.99 and band has agreed to donate a portion of his sales from the album to the GRAMMY Foundation.
Rascal Flatts is currently at the best stage of their musical career but Jay DeMarcus, the bass player for the band is all ready to embarrass another best job – a dad’s job as the star could not wait the arrival the birth of his first child in January 2011.
