Prologue
The day "It" all began started like anyother day. Me , Dante , at work and my wife and two kids at home. But something happened that day that caused...leaks from the powerplant. Causing sickness to spread throughout the city.
Then the whole damn powerplant exploded. Anyone still alive went home...quickly. And anyone unlucky enough to get caught was infected. Driving them crazy. Crazy enough to kill and eat anyone not infected.
The US capitol decided to board up the city, lock is up. They pretty much said, "f--- you." To anyone still alive. And now we all fight to stay...

Shouldn't it be "I" instead of "me"? It might just be me, but is it better to have, "I, Dante, was at work with my wife and two kids at home."

Chapter 1
I pulled out my camera and set it on the table. The holes in the ceiling and walls sending shafts of light dance across the room. I sat in the chair in front of the table and flipped the camera on. "It's been ten weeks since the virus started spreading. I have no contact with any other humans. Those...things are everywhere.
Ive been keeping count of how many Ive killed." I smiled "Twenty of those b------s are dead-" I frowned "-but there are thousands, hell, millions left. So Ive decided to go looking for Amanda and Ashley. So if anyone finds this Ive been-" Something scratched at the door. It could smell me...the thing busted the boards of the window down. "- s--- a whole hoard found me!" I grab my handgun and camera.
The started climbing through the window. I aimed down my gun. One lunged as I shot. I killed it but it knocked my gun away from me. I grabbed the chair and tossed it at them. It knocked them down, giving me the opening I needed. I jumped through the window.
I knocked the rest down as I landed and ran for the Jeep I kept next door for emergency escapes. I drove toward the things at the window. "Eat this you sons-of-b----es!" I ran over what I could. I was headed for the highway. I switched on the radio, knowing that nothing's on.
"Hello?"
My eyes darted to the radio.
"This is Nathan. I don't know if anyone can hear this, but if you can I'm in the Hilltop apartment building, top floor. Come as quick as you can."
I turned the radio off. Hilltop apartments here I come. I just hope it doesn't get dark before I get there.
