Eighteen years ago, the Night Kingdom were in conference. They made the decision to make an experiment. They aligned the stars just right, and they took the gasses from them, and their magic. Science proved that the stars run on gas, but what they didn't prove that the stars run on so much more than gas. They run on everything. Love, magic. You name it. The rulers of the Night Kingdom named their experiment "Star Crossed Lovers." Why? They never said. They experimented for months. Making countless errors again and again. Than, one day, they made it perfect. Well, almost perfect. Made from test tubes, a young girl Hazel was.. Made. And a young boy Hawke. The rulers requested that they had chips in their brains, ones that provided the knowledge and skills that no other human had. But during the operation, the queen ruler had requested another thing done. That they were provided the gills of a fish. Of course it couldn't just be done, she realized. So she talked it over with her husband. He, of course, agreed. So, in order to create another batch, they'd have to get rid of the previous. The date for the execution was made. But Hazel and Hawke were so perfect. They had everything the other mistakes didn't. Nor, mortals. Aega, the Moon Goddess noticed the disappearance of the stars. The moon can't be beautiful without its surrounding stars. So Aega followed the aligning of the stars, and snuck past the guards that were patrolling the castle grounds. She made it to the room that the babies were in, and she took Hazel and Hawke, promising their life and freedom. As Aega took them to Earth, and away from the invisible kingdom in the sky, she whispered in both of their ears, "In stellae Dirige tu Lorem. The stars will guide you home."
She set them on a foster home porch, and stood there for a moment, than drew out a paper and pencil from her pocket. She ripped the paper in half, and on one she wrote Hazel, on the other she wrote Hawke. Hazel looked up at Aega with her big innocent bright rich turquoise blue eyes, and Hawke looked up at Aega with his big innocent unnatural forest dark green eyes. At that moment Aega knew all that they would go through, what their future would hold, and who fate would pick. But what she didn't know was that Hazel and Hawke had a bond not even death could break. Ringing the door bell, Aega began to feel weary. She missed the moon, she missed the stars. As the door opened, Aega disappeared going to her rightful place. The caretaker of the foster home took Hazel and Hawke in.
Not even a month after Aega had placed them on that doorstep, Hazel and Hawke became separated, staying in the same big city, looking at the same wide sky. They grew up completely oblivious that the other one existed. Only haunted by the memories they got in their dreams, of that night Aega came. But Aega was always there, making sure they were safe for the time being.
The rulers of the Night Kingdom were furious to find that Hazel and Hawke were gone. They were just babies! Where could they have gone? They questioned the guards over and over again if they had seen anyone enter the castle. But all they got were answers they weren't looking for. They had to find those babies. And when they did, they would do what they were planning on doing, Killing them. Killing those innocent little babies who had no idea what they could do, or who they even were. So they formed a new plan. They used dark magic, taking careful precautions, making sure they got everything just right. They were planning out Hazel and Hawkes future, asking all the sorcerers and witches they could. After they had gotten that taken care of, they turned to controlling the kids' fates. They decided to put obstacles in their way once Hazel and Hawke met. See, the rulers knew they would be separated, they could feel it, so when they were near each other, the rulers would feel it. Only the rulers know what is to happen to the Star Crossed Lovers.
And now after Eighteen years of patient waiting, the Star Crossed Lovers are destined to meet face to face at last. -

I was in the biggest room I had ever saw. By now I knew it was me, and the mysterious other baby beside me. The room was like my room in my home. Except this one had potential, this one had meaning. You could feel the buzz of electricity all around you, or was it magic? The other baby looked at me curiously, and I stared back.
Like always, it seemed like eternity before the mysterious girl came in. Actually by now I knew who she was. I did some research and found paintings of her. Aega, the Moon Goddess. But I never understood why she was always in this same dream everytime. She seemed in a hurry and scooped me and the other baby hurriedly. I closed my eyes, and looked back over at the other baby to find he did the same. I knew he was special like me. But, I don't know how special or why.
We were flying through the stars, following them in some weird fashion. Than we approached some black hole type thing. It scared me, I didn't want to go through it, but I had no choice. As we entered the black hole I could hear the cracking of electricity and fierce winds. I didn't like it. I began to wail and the other baby did the same. But within a couple minutes everything cleared up and it was calm. I stopped my wailing at the same time the other one did. Than I heard something whispered in my ear. I couldn't make out the first sentence, than I heard, "The stars will guide you home." We were placed on something. I looked up at Aega, and she looked back down at me. Her eyes piercing softly yet fiercely into mine.
"Hazel, Hazel wake up. It's time to wake up." I rolled over and groaned. "Wake up." The voice went on. "I'm up." I mumbled. "Wake up!" I realized that it was Vivian, my best friend and my roommate. "I'm. Up." I said getting annoyed. "WAKE UP, DAMMIT!" Viv screamed into my ear, and I jumped up, bumping heads with Vivian because she was on top of me and rolled out of my bed. "b----, I'M UP!" I screamed back, rubbing my head and climbing off of her. "Now it's your turn!" She yelled tackling me. "Owww." I groaned and pushed Viv off of me laughing. I looked over at the clock, and made a face. "Its nine f---ing o clock!" I bellowed.
"No s---. Get ready, we're meeting Stitch today remember."
"Right, I forget."
"Like always." Viv finished.
After I took a shower and got ready, I grabbed a pack of cigarettes and lite one. You're probably all like, 'ew, she smokes.'
Well that's actually a long story. In my last year of Middle School I got mixed up in the 'wrong group' as people like to call it. I started out smoking cigs, than after a couple of months I started smoking weed, than it turned into big drugs like Acid. After my second year of high school I slowed things down, just smoking cigarettes, than smoking weed sometimes. Than after high school was over, which I graduated a couple months ago, I stuck to cigs. Viv helps me too. She even smokes. Yeah, I know it's still bad..
"Come on, Haz," Vivian says waving a hand in front of my face.
We arrived at Starbucks. "Why are we meeting stitch again?" I asked, biting my lip.
"You keep having those silly dreams right?"
I nod, I trusted Viv with my life. Of course I told her about the dreams. They had happened ever since I can remember. No matter what I can't get rid of them. Sometimes they're different, but that only happens rarely.
"Well Stitch says she's got something to get them off your mind."
We both got out of Vivian's truck, and into the spring turned into summer air. We walked into Starbucks and I sat at an empty booth while Vivian grabbed us some regular coffey. I looked around for Stitch. Stitch isn't really her real name, but more of a nickname. You see, Stitch's real name is Sylvia, but growing up Stitch was always having to get stitches. So people started calling her Stitch, and it stuck. Which I think is pretty funny because there's a moving named Stitch, wait I think that's what it's called, I don't know I never pay attention.
Even though high school's over, we still stay in our little group. It's mainly me, Viv, and Stitch that hang out, but sometimes Sam, Charlie (who is a girl), Evie, and Andrew come with us and we're the whole group again! Which it brings up old memories, one's that I would live again if I got the chance. Even though Stitch was the founder in the group, and shes the strong one, and she was leader first, somehow I became co-leader. Funny actually.
Anyways, I waved over to Stitch and she came over at the same time Viv did. "You guys hear?" Stitch asked us. Me and Vivian exchanged a glance and shook our heads. "Scientists found that certain stars are aligned in some weird fashion, but it doesn't make any symbol," Stitch said with fasination. I took a sip of my coffey.
"Since when are you into science?" Viv said.
But what she said caught my attention. I've always been a freak when it comes to stars. I think they're the most beautiful things ever.
"Since ever! Anyways, that's not the reason I came here." Stitch got a mischievous smile on her face. I knew we would be in for an adventure.
"There's a party tomorrow night." She said, keeping that grin. It's been forever since I've been to a party. "It's not just any party, though. It's THE party." Stitch adds.
"Wait, Olivia Hermans big party of the year?" Vivian asks.
"Hell yeah!"
"I say we go."
They both looked at me for approval.
"Well, I don't- OKAY!" I smiled and giggled.
Viv got up, "Lets go to the mall, get new s---."
We got up, and I got this strange feeling. I can't explain it, but I felt like I was being pulled by something.
"Hey, you okay, kid?" Stitch asked me and I nodded.
As we were walking out the door, I dropped my lighter and reached down to get it. "Hurry up, Hazel!" Vivian called to me.
"I'm coming! I just dropped my lighter!" I yelled and stood up, than blinked hard.
Standing across the street was him. Well it looked like him. And he was staring straight at me. His unnatural green eyes piercing straight into mine. I dropped my coffey and ran. Maybe it was a mistake, I told myself. Oh, I hope it was.
