Book I of my new series: The Vampires
A small window was in the left corner of the room, facing west towards more green foliage and letting in the light from the sun, even though it was obscured under ashen clouds. As I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to get over the green and then opened them again, I caught a glimpse of the window sliding down. If I was scared before, I was petrified in fear now. My eyes were frozen on the window, but finally after five minutes of no blinking, they started to unfreeze themselves. I was able to blink and breath normally, but as my gaze flickered to other parts of the room and back to the window, I caught a glimpse of a gorgeous face. It stared at me for the shortest time, but even then, it was etched into my memory.

We had moved from Georgia, which had lots of warm, dark-banishing sun and had spilt freckles all over the high planes of my cheeks. The thought of warmth from the sky, instead of rain, made me sigh and close my eyes pretend that the bathroom light was the sun. I turned on the sink to pretend it was the river that our house looked over. The dream didn’t last long when the rain started thundering against the side of the house. I opened my eyes and turned off the sink with a rage filled-jerky movement

Moaning inwardly, we walked through the glass double doors, into a low ceiling hallway. Lockers crowded and competed for space amid classrooms while crumpled papers and sleeves protruded from the lockers like little flags. Connor lead the way through a network of corridors, the light blue rectangles never ending. I felt a smidgen more comfortable knowing that these kids seemed to be as unorganized as I was.

That one is awesome,too!
