In the hour of Midnight
In a dark, empty house
She sits in a windowless room
At the end of a windowless hallway.
She stares into silence
Unblinking, undiscovered
And with only silence gazing back at her
A sad melody weaves through her thoughts.
In her empty, tranquil place
She keeps herself hidden
Where nobody can reach her
And nobody knows her name.
She waits, listening to the blackness.
Patient, expecting an answer
Which dances on her whispered breath
To the sad melody pulsing from her heart.
In that agonizing moment
In the destruction of her ignorance
A single tear crashes to the floor
And a sad melody echoes in its wake.
In her frustration
In the anguish of her plight
She stands up, shattering the darkness
And her fragile fortress crashes down.
A beutiful melody bursts from her lips. -
