In my own personal utopia
My palace crashes down.
In this devastation I laugh in hysteria
The fire burns and surrounds.
Once I blow the candle out this town will shut off.
I smile but that is my false cover
For the walls are secretly crumbling.
In desire and temptation of which I don't fight
I can hear angels and demons singing.
Trying to get my attention before I run off.
Love is rare, in this world it's tainted
So dark despite the morning sunlight.
Fooling ourselves in that false smile again
We are in the battle, our own inner fight.
Because pleasure never seems to be enough.
We delight in a passionate romance,
Our minds giving our bodies commands.
This mess and dance does not concern us
We move to fulfill all sensual demands.
Hearts are put on hold, for the hunger is never enough.
