I was describing the book A Separate Peace to my dad, thinking he'd find it interesting, when I realized what I was saying...
"Oh, it basically about a guy who feels guilty about his friend who gets hurt and feels like he caused it and..."
I'm such an idiot, my dad is a war veteran. He has a buddy that got hurt in Iraq with him. This would be a horrible book for him to read. So halfway through my explanation I started to eat my words. But he seemed cool and didn't make the connection.
It's so weird....how my dad has had these experiences. Sometimes it's like he's a different person because of all he's been through. Idk. -
