Okay, so for once, I reeaally want to write a book and try to get it published. I've got the first page done and an outline of the idea, but I really need your help to make this book work!
First, I want your truthful opinion. What do you think of the idea and the first page?
Second, ideas for the main conflict!!!
So here's my main outline for the book: A government called R.E.A.L. are killing off the entire human population because it was becoming over-populated, but in every family that has a baby under the age of 1, they will not kill.
So give me you're opinion on that and on the first page here:
The family, like the rest of the world, was buzzing.
Early this morning, in the diverse time zones and countries, each and every household found a box. A metallic rectangle sitting on their doorstep, and on top, a manila envelope addressed directly to them.
In the packet was a letter and a small key.
With now shaking hands and wet eyes, they passed around the note, and strategies of how to escape flowed through their minds like an inevitable flood.
But it was all futile. They knew they couldn’t stop what was coming. Rumors and hearsay had been going on about a government override of the world’s population for weeks, and now they knew it was all true.
There were only two weeks left to prepare, and the family was going to make sure that if only their offspring, sister was going to survive, she would know the truth.
To the household of the Young’s,
You have been delivered a compartment and a key. The key will open your family’s MSU, Memory Storage Unit.
In it, you may put anything you would like for your daughter/ sister to remember you by, since she will never see you again.
Please, do not try escaping what will happen at the end of these next two weeks. We have given you this time to prepare, say your good-bye’s, and fill your MSU.
This is for the good of humanity and the future of the Earth.
