Chester kissed his forehead. Their food was brought to them. He thanked the waiter.

"Thanks." Jayden grabbed his food.

Chester bit into his food, zoning out.

Jayden looked up at him. "Hey."

Chester blinked and glanced at him. ‘Huh?’

"Nothing. You just seemed out of it."

‘Oh. Sorry.’

"It's fine. I just wanted to make sure you're okay."

Chester nodded, giving a smile. ‘Of course.’ He looked down, the smile fading slightly. He was angry at himself, for reasons he was definitely not going to tell Jayden.

Jayd noticed the smile fading and frowned slightly, but didn't press it.

Chester pulled him slightly closer and kept eating.

Jayden did the same.

Chester eventually finished.

So did Jayden. "Can I stay in your room tonight?" He asked quietly.

Chester looked at him. ‘Darling, you don’t need to ask,’ he said, kissing his forehead with a smile.
