Chester’s smile widened. ‘I have a place in mind,’ he said, pulling him close and leaning back against the headboard. ‘I have some work to finish, but I can wake up early to do that. You’ll love it.’

Jayd beamed. "Okay." He leaned into Chester. "Sounds great."

Chester kissed the top of his head. ‘Do you want to go to bed now? Or stay up talking?’

"Stay up." Jayden chuckled. "Unless you'd rather sleep."

‘We can stay up,’ Chester grinned. ‘How about you tell me about your family? Since you know mine.’

Jayd's smile faded for a moment before plastering a fake one on. "Yeah sounds-sounds good."

‘We don’t have to!’ Chester said quickly. ‘Only if you want to!’

That didn't help one bit. Chester wanted to know- and he deserved to, honestly. Jayden opened his mouth to try to explain it, then hesitated before shutting it again. "Sorry."

‘Don’t be,’ Chester said softly, kissing his forehead. ‘I’m not mad or anything.’ He wondered why Jayden couldn’t tell him about his life, though. He wondered if anything bad had happened, or Jayden was hiding something…

Says mister "I hope Jayden never finds out about-oop he's reading my diary rn neeevermind". Jayden looked at him, trying to read his face to see any sign of annoyance or frustration. He didn't see any. Just confusion and concern.

Shhh let him be a hypocrite nobody needs to know about Beatrice or his parents xD. Chester gave a weak smile, snuggling closer. He didn’t want to offend Jayden by asking anything else, so he stayed quiet.

But Jayden does- Jayd kissed his nose, leaning closer to him.

Nahhhh. Chester smiled, leaning into his touch.

Girliepop- Jayden held him close, slowly laying down.

Shhhhh. Chester let him, snuggling closer.
