C1 is a jester for the king, who practically raised them when they were abandoned by their parents for some kind of not-normal thing maybe vitiligo or smth idk. The king is getting old, and needs an heir, so he marries a duchess from another kingdom. This duchess is an a--hole, but she has a son around C1’s age (19-21), C2, the flirty guy all the girls vie for. But they’re secretly gae because yes. And they’ve taken a liking to C1. -

C2 being the Adrien Agreste (it’s the only character I can think of right now I hate mlb) of the world (like all the girls like him because he’s famous etc etc) except he ALSO flirts with people because he’s like a duke (idk how royalty works)
And C1 would probably be like this mess of a person like mental s--- going on and vitiligo or smth making him a “freak among nature” (hence their jester status) because it’s the 1800s (ladies, tell your husbands, vote for burr) and then C2 sees them and is like “heLLO SAILOR” and wifes them up (even tho theyre gae) -

If jester was in modern day because I’m bored and keep seeing cute stuff on Pinterest ok:
- I feel like Jayden would be into video games but not in the straight male way he just likes them and would play with Maeve but Chester would flirt with him or be a cat to distract him
- Jayden would sit in shopping trolleys and Chester would have to push him around in a Walmart/Woolworths
- Chester would text him at midnight when he’s bored and just tell him random s--- about his favourite interests even though they sleep right next to each other but he doesn’t want to wake him up just to rant about his new favourite book
- Jayden might be super into theme parks and fairs and forces chester, who is terrified of theme park rides, to come with him
- Chester wouldn’t be on any social media because mental health s--- so Jayden and Maeve would randomly say random brainrot s--- to confuse him

(Jayden and Maeve would be into brainrot in the joking way like he says it just to be annoying and she thinks it’s funny)
- Astrid has extremely problematic views so Cleverly sends him large paragraph about why he is wrong in every way because Chester told him Astrid was being an a--hole and being way too political at the dinner table (would be from an unknown number because Jayden gave Astrid’s number it to him when he asked for it so Astrid is just sitting there going wtf (cleverly would be way too interested in politics like he is the bad kind of “woke”)
- chester for some reason owns a sparkly rainbow top hat
- Jayden wears that top hat frequently
- they both paint their nails :3 Chester would at first immediately take it off after trying it and ditch the idea for a few months but after getting mostly past his internalised homophobia he starts letting Jayden paint them again -

I need to keep writing but idk where to take this
I’m getting so much imposter syndrome omg
It’s not even writers block at this point I just don’t know how to create new characters anymore and how to integrate them without it seeming like there are too many characters
Like there are supposed to be 13 performers but 5 of them don’t have names or appearances like do I just not introduce them or do i make a list at the beginning of the book roald dahl style-
I mean in David Walliams’ “The Ice Monster” there were like 50 kids in the that children thief group and all 50 of them had names and descriptions but not all of them were mentioned in the actual story so I can just do that so it’s not a surprise when a random ass character comes in
But then I have to make 5 more characters and I don’t have any ideas for powers and personalities and s--- like I’ve already used ice, fire, plants, time travel, light, strength, flight + animal communication manipulation of gases was else is there
Plus I’ve milked out all diversity like I can make one character with a magic prosthetic or some s--- but that’s it I can’t make a new character without it 1) never being published because of trans characters or 2) feel like it’s one of JK Rowling’s books where the diversity feels forced and gross
