Chester watched him for a moment. He rested his head on the bed, just watching him sleep, before he realised it was really creepy. He pulled the blankets over Jayden, then lay down on the floor, staring up at the ceiling.
-
Jayden didn't move until morning, realizing he was sleeping in an empty bed. Wasn't Chester with him when he went to bed? "Chester?" He asked softly, looking around and trying to sit up before realized how tangled up he was in the blanket, just like how tangled up Chester is with his emotions and how he totally isn't jealous of that blanket.
(ba-dum-pshhh) -
(Stop that’s actually real-)
Chester groaned from the floor and rubbed his eyes. He sat up and stretched. Sleeping on the floor wasn’t comfortable at all. He was jealous of the blanket. ‘Yeah?’ he mumbled, looking up at Jayden with sleepy eyes. The blond’s bed hair was absolutely adorable. He blushed lightly, partially from the fact that Jayden had fallen asleep in his bed and partially because Jayden was hot. -
"What're you doing on the floor?" Jayden asked, eyebrows scrunching up in confusion before he got a bit of an idea. He blushed a deep shade of red. "W-were you not comfortable? I-god, I'm so sorry." He fluffed up his hair, playing with it nervously. He knew it was a bad idea, staying in Chester's room. He should've just asked one of the staff for directions to his room. "I'm so sorry I- you could've told me you didn't want me staying here, I wouldn't have gotten upset or anything-"
(to quote my friends: "OH MY GOD ITS A FLOOR GAY!!") -
(Stop that’s actually glorious-
Ok but like what was the context for that quote-)
Chester blushed deeper. ‘No, it’s okay! Don’t worry about it. I-I just, y’know, didn’t want you to be uncomfortable,’ he said, standing up. He kind of wanted to touch Jayden’s fluffy hair. He grabbed his pillow and set it back on the bed, sitting down. ‘I-I don’t mind at all, promise. You probably needed sleep, too, if you fell asleep that easily…’ He trailed off, wondering if he should tell Jayden what had happened. He flushed a deeper colour of red. -
(The context is that I was sitting on the floor. That's it.)
Jayden noticed him blushing, which only made him blush harder. He scooted slightly further from Chester and he pressed his knees to his chest, arms wrapping around them. He shook his head. "No, I- this was a mistake. I'm sorry, I should've just asked someone for directions instead of bothering you." -
(That’s amazing)
Chester shook his head quickly. He reached out to grab Jayden’s hand, but paused halfway and pulled his hand back. ‘No, I really don’t mind, I promise,’ he said quickly. ‘I-It was really late, too, so the servants would’ve gotten pretty annoyed.’ -
(ikrrrr)
Jayd froze up as he saw Chester reach out for his hand, tiny pinpricks of hope shooting through him for a hot second, only for them all to die a few seconds later. How dare this man play with his feelings like that?
He just stood up. "I-I need to change out of these clothes. See you at breakfast." -
Chester sighed softly, averting his gaze to the ground. ‘See you,’ he mumbled. God, why couldn’t he just figure things out? He could see the hope in Jayden’s eyes, then watched as his face fell. He sighed, opening his mouth to say something, but deciding against it. Jayden didn’t need to know about the cuddling thing.
-
Jayden left, shutting the door behind him and sinking to the ground, burying his face in his hands. He saw Chester staring at the ground before he left. Refusing to even look at him. Jayd wiped his eyes furiously after a moment, not wanting any of Chester's staff to see him crying, and walked to his room, trying not to think about it all, which inevitably failed.
-
Chester’s face fell when Jayden left. He grabbed his pillow and put it over his face. ‘f---!’ he groaned, pulling the blankets over him. His bed kind of smelt like Jayden now. It made him feel even worse. He snuggled deep into the blankets, trying to calm down, but all he could think about was Jayden. Oh, the travesties of emotions. He wished he could get his thoughts straight.
(Cough his thoughts are gay) -
(Nooo really ? ? I'm shocked, dare I say a s t o u n d e d
Also the TRAVESTIES killed me)
Jayden walked to his room and tried to find an outfit to wear. Chester didn't want to look at him? Fine by him. He'd just make himself look so pretty that nobody wouldn't want to stare. I know that makes it sound like he's a femboy, but he just grabbed a tuxedo and a golden bowtie and maaaaaybe a bit of jewelry because god f---ing dammit why not. -
(Fr like neither of us ever would have considered it
It should it’s a great word)
Chester eventually sighed and got up. He changed his clothes and changed into a lazy outfit because he couldn’t give a s--- anymore. He got dressed into a button down shirt and dark slacks, as well as stud earrings bc I say so. He walked down the hall to the dining hall, rubbing his face with his hands. -
(yeah it's not like it was the p l o t
lmfaooo)
Jayden got out of his room as he adjusted the bow tie, seeing Chester walking to the dining room as well.
(STUD EARRINGS ARE THE MOST HOMOPHOBIC THING FOR A MAN TO WEAR OMFG WHY DO YOU THINK I STOPPED WEARING EARRINGS-) -
(Fr like never would’ve guessed)
Chester noticed Jayden and glanced at him. His face immediately went hot and he couldn’t help but stare. Oh no he’s hot. He blinked a couple times, mouth slightly open.
