Thread Topic: Who wants to help write a successful book?

So, guys. Please help create a story. I don’t care how you do it. As long as you are not super inappropriate we should work. My first post will be the main characters names and such.
-
Amanda Write- 15 year old non-binary ‘girl’
Samuel Write- 17 year old boy (brother of Amanda.)
Andrew Grande-15 year old boy (Amanda’s boyfriend)
Sonya Finn- 16 year old girl (Amanda and Samuel’s step sister)
Micheal Street- 10 year old boy (Amanda’s and Samuel’s step brother)
Avery Street- 39 year old girl (Micheal’s and Sonya’s mom)
Grayson Write- 40 year old boy (Amanda’s and Samuel’s dad) -
Also, Amanda is the main character. They all surround her though. Her bestie is blond haired boy, Mackenzie, age 16. Pansexual.
-
This is gonna take place in Amanda’s perspective ok?
-
“Mackenzie!” I say over the phone to my best friend. “Dads making tacos for dinner. Save me!” He replies, “Mom just bought ice cream again. At least your dad cares if you eat-“ he quiets down as his 3 year old brothers tantrum noises float up the stairs. “We’ll talk later ok, Mackie?” I say. He groans because he hates it when I call him Mackie. “Bye Amy.” I hang up the phone just as Micheal, my new step brother, races into the room, screaming at the top of his lungs. My real brother Samuel, walks in with his noise canceling headphones in and yells, “DINNERS READY!” With a big show of force Micheal pulls my mattress of my bed and onto the floor. Samuel looks at me pityingly and then walks out. I yell at Micheal, “Get the heck out of my room you little monster!”

Hi! I love what you have so far.
Do you have a certain plot you’re thinking of for the book? It can be helpful to lay out what you want to happen so you can make plans on getting there. -
Well, I was hoping for some ideas, but the main theme is Amanda is going through the year as trying to get the world to accept her as pansexual. I’m open to ideas though!
-
By the way, your a really good author.
-
Thank you so much! :)
I like where you’re going with the main idea of the book. Do you have any specific challenges in mind for Amanda, such as bullies at school, homophobic relatives, etc.? -
Probably just like her inside family, new school and country (surprise!). Her current boyfriend doesn’t know she’s non-binary. So that’s gonna be fun… 😏

i run down the hall to see my dad and Avery, my step mom, in the kitchen making sauce for the tacos and stealing kisses every time they passed each other. yuck! Micheal comes in with a lollipop that looks really expensive. You know, the really big rainbow ones? Samuel walks in behind him wearing a rainbow jacket in his hands. What's with all the rainbow stuff? i wonder as Avery says, "Dinner!" and Micheal runs to the table. i walk over and see that there was a rainbow placemat under the taco plate. What the heck? My dad sits down and motions for me to get up. Obviously i don't because what teenager does what their parents say? And i know the reason he wants me up. He trys to treat Avery like a literal queen so we have to stand up when shes about to sit down at dinner, we have to make or buy her gourmet lunches, and several other lame things i don't need to elaborate on. He motions for me to do it a gain and then i see that Avery has already sat down.
to be continued... -
"Amanda dear," Avery starts. "I'm not your dear, Avery!" i say defensively. my dad stares at me and mutters something i couldn't quite make out. He then clears his throat, and says, "Listen to your mother, Amanda." with a sort of menacing and demanding tone. "Shes not my mother."
to be continued... again. -
My fathers eyes seemed to drill into mine as he said in a very frustrated tone, "Amanda. Apologize."
I wanted to refuse, or argue, but by now, everyone was looking at me, angry. I looked Avery dead in the eyes. "I'm sorry." I choked out. -
I like Amanda and the stepmother’s relationship
What happened to Amanda’s mother? Is whatever happened to her part of the reason they (I think you said Amanda was nonbinary) don’t like their stepmother? -
No. Everybody knows the classic story that at least someone is in love with the step- and someone hates them. And the mom died during childbirth of a unisex child. That’s why she’s non-binary.
